I am always surprised how a few objects scattered across a table top can provide endless inspiration for the artist (and provide seemingly endless fascination for the viewer too!)
I try to channel my ‘inner Matisse’ when creating my paintings of interiors in that I try to create a world where a little hedonistic pleasure can be enjoyed guilt free - the flowers never wilt, the Champagne never gives you a hangover, and the love-hearts are always true! What more could you ask for in a painting?...
